MID-CENTURY MODERNIST

High on a cliff on the edge of Perth's sparkling Swan River, this mid-century modernist classic has been extensively remodelled by Christian and architect Arianne Prevost.

Many elements of the original architecture were highlighted or contrasted to create an updated, funky and modern Perth home for the London-based owners.

Christian chose to work with many pieces from an extensive collection of classic art and antiques from the owners' ancestral home, which included a suite of Hepplewhite dining chairs and generations of family portraits. To highlight their qualities he counterpointed them with modern furniture and almost industrial finishes.

The result is a sophisticated balance of classic and contemporary.
