CONTEMPORARY LUXE

Inspired by his love of French modernism, Christian collaborated with architect Penny Watson to completely redesign this home originally built in the 1980s. The pair took the building back to its architectural roots and updated it to suit a 21st century lifestyle.

As a busy pair of professionals, the owners needed a home that would provide a calm and tranquil retreat from their demanding careers as well as a place to entertain, both intimately and on a grand scale.

Christian devised a floor plan that could be divided or connected through a series of sliding timber panels that disappear into the walls.

To complement an extensive collection of vintage and contemporary furniture and art, Christian juxtaposed rare and exotic marbles, dark rich timber veneers and continuous crisp white ceilings.

All of the rooms feature bi-folding, handmade iron and glass doors, which connect them directly to lush private courtyards. A loggia and cabaña act as outside rooms to extend and enhance the internal living spaces.
